Puma pulled out another blockbuster with this Italy away kit.
We were in love with the renaissance art-inspired third kit by Puma for the Italian national team. But of course, many of us were think, “They have a home and third kit but what happened to the away jersey?”
Enter, this absolute gem of a football kit. Carrying on the theme of a culture-defining era of art and architecture, Puma infused those inspirations into the latest Italy away kit. Now sporting more traditional colours of the white and blue (albeit, a darker shade of blue), details of the artwork can be clearly seen across the entire shirt.
Besides the lovely look, we’re also in love with the small touches that help the jersey be more performance-driven, with minor perforations appearing around the upper back and shoulder regions to aid in ventilation and cooling when you’re making those lung bursting runs around the pitch.
Personally, I’m really looking forward to see the return of the Italian team to the big stage. It seems like they were missing a great generation of players and have failed to deliver on the big stage in Europe and at the World Cup. Antonio Conte took a sub-par team to the quarter finals against World Champions, Germany, but they, in turn, failed to qualify for the World Cup 2018.
In 2020, however, expect Roberto Mancini’s young and exciting team to make waves in easily the most stylish jersey of the tournament.
The Italian national team will wear the new away kit in their final Euro 2020 qualifying fixtures against Bosnia & Herzegovina (15 November) and Armenia (18 November), as the Azzurri chase a perfect qualifying record and build towards next summer’s tournament.
