Our favourite away kits to get you ready for the football season.
Having previously covered the best home kits for the 2019/20 season, we shift our attentions now to the away kits. We love that they don’t always have to follow conventions or past traditions in the designs and colour schemes with the away number. Brands are allowed to stretch their creativity to produce something truly original and novel.
For this article, we will categorize third kits as “away” kits due to how often they’re worn during away games.

PSG x Jordan Brand
This year’s PSG x Jordan Brand collaboration looks red hot – literally. Inspired by the colours of the Air Jordan IV from 1991, the kit takes on the colours of the iconic basketball sneakers. There hasn’t been a mention if this is an official away kit or a Champions League exclusive (like last year) but we’ll don this any day of the week. Click here to get the PSG x Jordan Brand kit.
Manchester United
Going pink last year was a bold choice for the Red Devil and it seems they’re looking to push the boundaries further this year. A light gold colour is supplemented with a safari-esque animal print that covers the entire top. Perfect if you’re looking to stand out on the pitch. Click here to get the Manchester United jerseys.
Liverpool
Someone at New Balance sure likes Space Invaders. The kit does seems to be a cross between the classic video game and chainmail armour. We like that the print is bold with a clean collar line. That said, Liverpool will be looking to invade a significant amount of space this season to close the gap with title winners – Manchester City. Click here to get the Liverpool jersey.
Juventus
We do quite like the cream colour base on Juve’s away kit. Paired with the coral trims on the sleeves and logos, it reminds us of the launch colourway of the adidas Copa 19+ which was an absolute beauty. The subtle camo prints can get mistaken for cow prints but we’ll give them the benefit of the doubt here. Click here to get the Juventus away kit.
Bayern Munich
adidas has been fond of the dark blue treatment for their away/third kits. Real Madrid’s away kit and the (soon to be announced) Arsenal third kit all carry a similar dark blue base but Bayern’s got the best variation with bronze (or is it rose gold?) trims across the shoulder and sleeves and bronze logos. Exceptionally exquisite. Click here to get Bayern Munich’s jerseys.
Barcelona
We love a good sash and Barcelona’s away kit delivers that beautifully. Commemorating 40 years of their famed La Masia academy, the yellow jersey is well supplemented by the Catalan colours stretched across the torso. Very classy. Get the Barcelona jersey here.
