Minty fresh with a gold trims for Inter Milan.
Could this be the loveliest kit of the upcoming season? We loved the mint treatment given last season to Arsenal’s third kit and Bayern’s away kit but Nike has taken it up a notch with Inter’s away jersey.
Inspired by Julio Cesar’s goalkeeper’s top during the treble season of 09/10, the Inter Milan jersey is clad in “vivid aquamarine” while the pièce de résistance is the black and gold trims that mark the collar and sleeves.
Completing the kit are white shorts and color-blocked socks — half green, half white — that are separated by a black stripe and the word “Inter” midway up the calf.
It is said to be an ode to the grandeur of the city of Milan. We can’t disagree.
