Avant garde tailoring meets sports tech with the “Football Reimagined” collection.

Having worked with designer Kim Jones on the cheetah-inspired Mercurial Superfly 360, Nike is back for a second bite by releasing the “Football Reimagined” collection.

Jones channels his inner rebel by creating a uniform inspired by the London punk rock scene of the 70s and 80s. “That whole punk era was all about proportions that gave power to the wearer. I was inspired by the idea of DIY of the time — cutting up and putting things back together — to create something new,” says Jones.

London may be calling, but SG$329 for a shirt might cause anarchy in the U.K.

The centerpiece of the collection is the Air Max 360 High – a sweet hybrid of his favourite sneakers. “I was looking at the silhouette of the Mercurial along with my three favorite Nike shoes: The Footscape, the Vandal and the Air Max 97. Combining these into one shoe is an homage to punk, but with a super-slick end product,” he says.

Founder and editor of BOOTHYPE, Hats loves nothing more than a control/power boot that'll add a little something to his first touch. He counts the Puma evoPower 1 and the Nike PhantomVSN as some of his all-time favourites. The one that got away? The adidas Predator Mania in champagne.
