Nike produces a stone cold classic for Inter Milan.
The Duomo di Milano, the cathedral church of Milan, is the big inspiration for Nike’s third kit for Inter Milan this season.
“We feel this kit is rich in Inter DNA,” says Pete Hoppins, Nike Football Apparel Senior Design Director. “The Duomo and the St. George cross are Milanese icons and mean a lot to the Inter supporters. This kit is about Inter’s identity and paying tribute to the city and the people they represent.”
Where’s the obligatory map of the city like the other Nike third kits? The swoosh switched things up by distorting the map to create this swirling marble graphic that surrounds the dark grey cross – a reference to the Cross of St. George, a powerful Milanese symbol found on the city’s coat of arms.
The jersey will be available from 12 September.
