For the first time, NikeConnect technology will be featured in a football jersey with the new third kit for Chelsea FC and its 2018-19 season. NikeConnect started with their collaboration with the NBA, placing a tag on the jersey which could be scanned with the Nike app to give users access to exclusive content and deals through the app.
They can also participate in the development of a special Chelsea FC Shirtholder’s Edition “Fan Jersey.” This co-creation experience includes collaborating with Nike designers to create an exclusive jersey available only to current owners of the Chelsea kit.
Lest we forget the jersey itself, a cool teal colour sporting a map of the area surrounding Stamford Bridge with crimson details. The new third kit will be worn during the club’s European campaign this season.
