To mark 20 years together, Inter Milan and Nike searched deep into their roots for a symbol of their Milanese identity. What they invoked was the Il Biscione, a grass snake and powerful Milanese symbol, which also appeared in the 10/11 jersey. “There is no better way to celebrate two decades of success than by going back to the start of this relationship while also drawing inspiration from a stylistic high point,” says Pete Hoppins, Nike Football Apparel Senior Design Director.
The snake prints add a subtle touch to the classic Inter Milan home colours of bold blue and black lines, augmented by class gold trims. Its away jersey would also be familiar to fans of the Nerazzurri – crisp white enriched with an elegant woven graphic.
