Classic, clean and crisp. Tottenham’s kits usher in a new era.
Fresh from reaching the Champions League final for the first time in their history, Tottenham have gone for a simple yet classy take on their new kits for the season ahead.
We see the iconic lily white on their home jersey, complemented by blue trims on the sleeves and the v-neck collar. Hidden inside the trim are the words “Spurs” while club motto “To Dare Is To Do,” is weaved into the shirt.
The away kit, on the other hand, returns to its navy blue roots with a vivid purple graphic, which reads Spurs in the front of the shirt. It also incorporates the club’s motto in Latin, “Audere Est Facere,” within the shirt while the navy blue socks also share the purple pop.
“It’s a special time at the club right now. The team has been making great progress, and with the move to the new stadium it feels like we have real momentum behind us,” says Tottenham and England striker Harry Kane. “The kit looks great, it has a classic feel to it; it’s 100 percent Spurs.”
While we don’t disagree with comments that the jersey looks plain and has an NFL inspired feel to it, we think that Nike’s done just enough to balance the plain and classy side of things. What do you think? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
