The official match ball for the 2018/19 season of the UEFA Champions League is here. adidas has made some nifty changes to the colourway, namely the switching of the colouring of the panels. The stars will now be left white while the other panels will carry the graphic. This year, adidas has opted to keep it simple with a deep blue reminiscent of the Champions League banner. To help the white star stand out, the three stripes has made them glossy to glow in the evening floodlights of each game.
We’ve played with countless Champions League balls and we’ve got to say that its quality is right up there with the best in delivering a match performance. The textured upper keeps the grip consistent in wet weather and the ball’s density ensures that striking it in its sweet spot is always a pleasure.
